Community Involvement
Event: Mount Hope National Night Out
Date: Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022
Location: Mount Hope Town Park
About the Event: National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Our Contribution: The Asian American Advisory Committee (AAA Committee) proudly participated in this event to represent the local Asian community. Our goals were to:

Bridge the Gap: Facilitate open communication between Asian American residents and local law enforcement (Mount Hope Police Dept & Orange County Sheriff's Office).

Show Support: Demonstrate our community's commitment to public safety and civic engagement.

Build Relationships: Connect with neighbors and town officials in a friendly, informal setting to foster mutual understanding and trust.
